Thinking about Being An Ultrasound Tech

Hii. I’m a sonographer. The downsides are like others mentioned above, injuries. But also, you are the eyes of the radiologist. People thinks it’s all easy and all we do is click buttons but there is sooo much more to it. You are finding abnormalities on the patients. You will see hard/sad things. And you aren’t able to tell the patient any of it. Schooling is very intense. Mine was only 2 years and it was very fast paced and I also worked. It’s doable but definitely not easy. But I love my job. I don’t regret it for a second. But it’s definitely something you want to think about, or shadow, to see if it is something you would really love to do!

i mean... if you're interested in the career, you could try to find a job at a front desk of an office at an obgyn and get paid while observing and asking questions to see if you really do like the career instead of just the idea of the career..
